Re: My first Moho animation!
This had the feel of a frame by frame animation. Impressive.

Painterly backgrounds or just artwork with simulated real media: Rebelle 7 Pro is on sale for $29, and Rebelle Standard for $19 until Nov. 30. Importing a pre-rigged limb
https://youtu.be/CdN_E8LibNQ Tutorial finished, an old style arm made of two rectangles with ends rounded into perfect half circles and covered by a pseudo patch (circle with no lines) bends well with bones placed perfectly. I tried importing the rigged limb into another Moho 12 file to attach the ...

Clip Studio Paint exports SVG now
With the update 1.10 SVG can be copied and pasted as well as exported. One of the big restrictions of Clip Studio was that vectors could be used internally for line drawings but only exported as bitmaps. Might improve exchange between Moho and Clip Studio. I’m interested in what advanced users of bo...

Re: Cartoon Animator 4 (CT4)
Greenlaw, I greatly appreciate your time and trouble to give detailed answers. You are right about the target bones, I see I've barely scratched the surface. Also, what I wrote about showcased work was not correct, there are some good films after the first three. For a professional like yourself, th...

Re: Cartoon Animator 4 (CT4)
These comments by Moho users convinced me to test CA4. I'm a long ways from knowledgable, but did find out a few things already. The test version has a source file for the "bone hand" template, which replaces switch-layer sprites and allows for smooth transitions between hand positions. It...

Re: Cartoon Animator 4 (CT4)
Here's a link for the differences between Pro and Pipeline. As I mentioned previously, it is possible to use Photoshop (or Krita, Clip Studio Paint, Affinity Designer, etc.) with the Pro version, though I think the Pipeline version would make the process more efficient. https://www.reallusion.com/c...

Re: Cartoon Animator 4 (CT4)
Greenlaw, I really appreciate all of your observations since I've only just started playing with CTA4 myself. Having said that, I just have the Pro version but I have to point out that I am definitely able to import my own art. I am not restricted to using only their assets. Pipeline is more powerf...

Re: Sound frustration...
I just found out that failing to check "immune to camera" was messing up my audio - why that is not default is beyond me. The stereo music file played intermittently only on one loudspeaker, then both, then the other. Fortunately, some users have encountered nearly every possible problem a...

Satire with a tiny bit of animation
fLa4hecUocs The cartoons were loaded into Moho with the song track and mixed using the camera tool. Finally got a bird to fly after studying a sequence by Preston Blair, using switch layers. The few seconds of animation at the end feature an M1 character by Strider, adapted to look somewhat like me...

Re: The return of MotionArtist!
My idea is to aim it at animators who've never touched Godot before. There are already loads of good developer video tutorials for Godot online, so I think it would be interesting to show Godot as a tool to create animated content with simple interactivity, such animated comics or simple interactiv...

Re: The return of MotionArtist!
Well, it can be overwhelming, because it seems to have limitless animation possibilities. But with that power comes more complexity, of course. What is amazing is that Godot is completely free and open source. I hope I'll be able to do a tutorial on Godot for animators before the end of the year, a...

Re: The return of MotionArtist!
Herbert, You are the greatest, but you're making my life difficult! You've grown out of Construct and GDevelop, I have yet to grow into them. Still, if you want to play guitar, start on a guitar and not a ukulele (bad example, since a uke can be an exquisite instrument in its own right). Your scene ...

Re: The return of MotionArtist!
It looks like the time spent with Motion Artist was wasted. I contacted customer support about creating responsive html5 projects that are playable on all devices and screens. Motion Artist html5 export is set to a fixed size in pixels. My request was this: If it is possible to create flexible pages...

Re: The return of MotionArtist!
Totally agree -- there is SO much that MA could do if it had a refresh! I have used it as an alternative to Powerpoint for business presentations but it falls short in a few areas - so it's not a natural go-to option for such uses. I have logged a few enhancement requests but the silence from SM on...
