Re: How would I make an Undertale battle?

I think you need to post an example of the animation your unhappy with. We can't make suggestions for something we haven't seen. Also, I'm not sure which part of the original game animation you're referencing. There's actually not very much 'animation' in it at all. Some question: Is you're interest...

Re: Opening old moho files asks for serial?

I'm not sure how it is on Mac but on Windows I sometimes need to re-define the default program for a files type so it open with the latest version of a program. Not a 'Moho-specific' thing but I may have had to do that with Moho in the past. In my case, I've never seen the serial number request you ...

Re: How to use freeze points properly?

Sure. Just to be clear, there's nothing wrong with moving a shape's points to make it appear 'move' within the layer--there are times when you really want that. It's just important to understand that there is a difference with the methods and some effects will be applied differently. For example, Mo...

Re: Moho Pro 13 PNG Import Not Transparent

The background needs to be transparent in Photoshop (i.e., you should see the checker pattern.) When exporting the PNG, make sure Transparency is enabled in the settings. You can do this from Export Preferences. If you're using the legacy exporter, it's an option on the panel. My preference with Pho...

Re: How to use freeze points properly?

If you want to move a shape, it usually makes sense to transform or deform the layer the shape is in. Transforming the points in a shape inside a layer isn't the same as Transforming the layer. In other words, moving the points is changing the drawing, not moving it. Transforming a layer is done usi...

Re: How to use freeze points properly?

'Freezing' means keyframing, it does not mean the points will be 'locked' and made unmovable. Freezing can apply to bones or points, and it's mainly used to hold a pose, position, or shape across multiple frames. There are other reasons to freeze selected items but holding is probably the most commo...

Re: Invisible mask - can't get it to work

It might be nice to see optical flow tech added to Moho as an alternative to the current motion blur method. When actual motion data is present (i.e., motion vectors,) the effect is very convincing, and even when it doesn't exist, optical flow motion blurring can do a pretty good job. In 3D animatio...

Re: Invisible mask - can't get it to work

That's interesting...I'll have to take a look at that when I get home this evening. I don't normally render motion blur in Moho because it can really slow down rendering. When I do need a mo-blur effect, I prefer to apply it as an effect in compositing. In After Effects, for example, I would apply a...

Re: Invisible mask - can't get it to work

Some tips: I usually place the mask at the very bottom of the group. This isn't necessary, it's just a convention I follow for consistency and better organization. The mask does need to go below whatever is being masked though. Hide All is the most commonly used mode, and it's usually the easiest to...

Here's an example file set up as Wes described. It really should work. Re: Adobe Premiere Elements to burn animation to DVD?

I appreciate all the feedback so far. I'll try exporting my original animation in PNG and then sequencing it in A.P.E. this weekend, and see how that goes. I've done that before using JPG files, but I don't think I've tried PNG. JPEG is not lossless and it recompresses poorly. PNG is lossless, howe...

Re: Adobe Premiere Elements to burn animation to DVD?

It sounds like you're compressing the data twice, first from Moho and then again from Premiere Elements when you burn the DVD. You need to use a lossless codec for the animation footage that's compatible with editing program. Lossless is still compressed but the visual quality is preserved so the de...
