Re: Bind all bones to one layer (3D Object)

Hmm...don't know but maybe it's not compatible with 11? Sorry, I don't have 11 installed right now to check.

Hopefully Paul can pop back in with better info.

Re: Pixelated workspace images

In Moho, GPU acceleration converts vector art to bitmap in the graphics card. In theory, this results in faster playback and interactivity but at the cost of accurate display preview quality. IMO, it's usually not worth it because certain masking setups may display incorrectly. For me, I leave GPU A...

Re: Pixelated workspace images

Just wondering, does it look any better when you disable GPU Acceleration from Display Quality?

Re: Tapered freehand lines with a mouse

Ugh! That features seems totally broken in Moho 13. Will let the developers know. Personally, I don't bother with the Freehand tool. For me, it produces too many errors that need to be fixed and edited. Considering all that extra editing, I find drawing with the Add Points tool is more precise, effi...

Re: Bind all bones to one layer (3D Object)

I played around with the 3D options in Moho 12. Yes, bones deformation on 3D objects does work in this version. More info: In addition to using Use Selected Bones for Flexi-binding , I had enable Warp Using Bones from under 3D Options in the Layer Settings. I'm assuming you need to do this in ASP 11...

Re: Bind all bones to one layer (3D Object)

I don't have ASP 11 on my laptop to check but I don't think it's possible to use bones with a 3D object in ASP 11. For that matter, I don't think Moho Pro 12 or 13 can eitherI And even if you could, ASP/Moho's bones work only in 2D space so the deformation options will be limited. IMO, it's better t...

Re: Moho Roadmap?

First of all, not trying to start any sort of flamewar or controversy here. I've just finished my latest project for a client using Toon Boom, which made sense, since it was more FBF based. Also did another Moho short this year. Unfortunately, 13 crashed on me a lot and i had to execute it in Low-R...

Re: Color Picker in the Style is offset (MH13.02)

Yeah, some artists where I work had issues where they couldn't click on certain parts of the UI in the timeline, and I think it turned out to be a Windows scaling problem. (This was with Moho 12.5, not 13.) On my personal laptop and on my Cintiq Companion 2 (a 13-inch tablet computer), I eventually ...

Re: Klaus

Yeah, Klaus is a beautiful movie! The movie was screened at my workplace last week, and the director Sergio Pablos and animator James Baxter did a presentation about it and explained the unusual look of the film. For the characters, they basically hand-created splines over hand-drawn 2D animation to...

Re: Smartbone dials: separate actions VS unique action

Don't get too hung up on learning every possible technique--it's possible that you may not ever need some of that stuff. Just get good with a few techniques and see how far you can push them. Moho's 'basics' can actually take you a long way when you know them well. Re: mixed smart bones, make sure y...

Re: Smartbone dials: separate actions VS unique action

One SBA that I often see some beginner Moho animator creating is the Walk Cycle SBA. To me, this isn't a particularly useful one because it's probably going to prevent you from doing much else with the rig. When a complex character animation is embedded inside an SBA, it's probably not going to be e...

Re: Smartbone dials: separate actions VS unique action

I would be careful to not over-engineer your rig. Creating super complex Smart Bone Actions for your character can make for a really cool demo but it's not so useful if the actions prevent you from animating your character to do anything else. The type of animation you should consider for an SBA is ...

Re: Blender New Innovative 2d Animation "GP Tools"

Hi Herbert123,

I'm assuming there's a video posted above. Can you also post a direct link? This forum sometimes has a problem displaying embedded videos.

ATM, all I see is the word "wow" followed by a blank space.

Thanks!
