Re: Need help with Stroke Exposure Tool

Thanks for the help. It's not really intuitive, but I think if I play with it for a while, I'll get the hang of it. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Need help with Stroke Exposure Tool

How do I control the stroke exposure tool. The start point always seems to be random to me. I would love to be able to designate the point the stroke exposure animation starts, and also the direction it moves. I'm assuming this can be done, because without that type of control, the tool is pretty mu...

Re: Frame 0 and Frame 1 are different

Thank you. That was it. I had a smart bone that created a different look in it's "reset position" than what I was seeing in frame zero. The reset position is the default when animation is cleared from the document. I love this forum.

Frame 0 and Frame 1 are different

I've come across a odd thing I'm not able to figure out. I've noticed it in the past, but figured I'd eventually understand it. So far... no luck. The thing is, I can rig a character and after I clear all animation from the document, frame 0 and frame 1 are not the same. There will be differences be...

Re: Target Bones only work on frame 0

So you are right I believe. In some of my actions, all bones are highlighted. I am in the habit of using cntrl F and I guess that's what did it. So I'm only supposed to have one bone highlighted within the each action, is that correct? There's no way I could have figured that out. I owe you "big tim...

Re: Target Bones only work on frame 0

yeah... sorry about that. A momentary mental glitch. I'll take a look a my actions and in the meantime, if you could take a quick look, the bones are at...

Re: Target Bones only work on frame 0

Thanks for the quick response. I don't mind uploading, but it's been a couple years since I posted and I'll have to figure out how to upload from this forum. I am using smart bones. How would the unintentional locking happen? Also... I've spent about 10 min but don't see how to upload the bone file....

Target Bones only work on frame 0

I'm using MOHO 12 Pro. Why is it that my target bones are only working on frame 0 ? When I'm on frame 0 they work great, but if I go to any other frame, moving them has no effect on my rig.

Re: Integration with Adobe Illustrator

You may be right. I've been thinking about moving to a newer version of AS. But as soon as I upgrade to 11... they'll come out with 12 for another 300 bucks or so... If you have that much experience with Illustrator, and like AS as good for Vector Art... It may be time for me to consider taking the ...

Re: Integration with Adobe Illustrator

yeah... I've been using AS for several years http://alarmservices.info/alarmServicesCompany/HTMLVideoPages/armingYourSystem.html but was looking for something that would give me a little more flexibility in creating the vector art, and then importing to AS for the animation. I love AS, but the creat...

Re: Integration with Adobe Illustrator

Thanks... I was afraid of that. I did find an okay work around. Export .ai artwork after 1st removing the strokes in Illustrator, then add strokes in AS to each of the shapes. Not too bad, but I was hoping for something simpler. Thanks for taking the time to respond. :)

Integration with Adobe Illustrator

I'm having an issue moving vector art created in Adobe Illustrator, in to Anime Studios. I'm currently using version 7 of Anime Studios. When I export .ai artwork from Illustrator and import them in to Anime Studios, the "Stroke" lines become shapes in Anime Studios. I'd love it if they would remain...

Starting Point for Actions

I'm working with actions in Studio 7 Pro. I can create the actions and insert them in to my animations, however I continue to have a problem with the action wanting to take my entire character back to frame zero, to play the action. As an example, I can create a simple arm lift. When I insert the ac...

Thanks for taking the time to point that out. It made all the difference. The "Offset Bone" tool is not covered very well in the Manual. :D

Bone Strength in "Single Layer Characters"

I think I'm missing a "basic concept" that I have not been able to pull from the manual. I want to create a character, "fully contained" in a single layer. Something along the lines of "Lenny"... that I find in my default library. My problem is... I can't seem to figure out how to get movement in th...
