Re: Blender New Innovative 2d Animation "GP Tools"

Exciting times await... Yes, it's forced Autodesk to come out with Maya Indie for only $250! Regarding Blender, I'm going to wait for 2.80a to come out, apparently there's still some crashes in 2.80 but they wanted to get it out for Siggraph. I hope they've made the Grease Pencil usable by no...

New feature film made in Moho!

At last, a feature film made by an award-winning company that's going to be all done in Moho! Not just a few scenes, all of it! Puffin Rock is being turned into a movie! What's more, one of our forum regulars,Jeremy Purcell (amandandink) is directing! I've just seen that they're hiring too - http://...

Re: Newbie Needs Help

I believe our advice was given in good faith -- personally, I certainly wouldn't presume to tell Ben what he wants, or what his experience and knowledge is -- I'm just giving him some leads which he may wish to pursue. But it's encouraging that you think this advice is "...great for other people." ...

I honestly was not trolling, I was just being really optimistic about a new moho release. I apologize if it caused any confusion. But regardless great news!
Yeah I was just teasin' ya. Hence the smiley. Like Synth I knew it was for fun.

Re: Newbie Needs Help

Guys, I think as a retired teacher the OP knows the value of personal tuition, and is quite capable of finding learning materials if he has to. He just doesn't want to, nor does he want to be ripped off. Although the advice you've given is great for other people. Ben, check out McCoy Buck, he might ...

Re: about Game engine for json

We weren't discussing developing an importer for the game engines, but a json exporter that piggy-backs on the "Spine" or "DragonBones" importer. The JSON format for both of those programs is open and documented. Okay, I don't really know enough about this stuff, but if you weren't using the specia...

Yeah I know, I included him as he has detailed knowledge of how Moho works internally. If he ended up working at Unity, you can bet they'd have a Moho importer in a couple of weeks. :D

Re: Any rumblings of a date for Moho 13 yet?

With that in mind we'll be starting our beta program, with the current set of beta testers sometime this week. This is amazing news! Although I wish this was being announced through regular interaction with this forum, rather than in response to a fake release date and feature list by a 3-post trol...

Re: about Game engine for json

I showed this thread to a game developer friend of mine. He said that json is just a file format, like a text file. There would need to be plug-ins developed for all the game engines that would implement Moho's functions exactly. That's a big deal. Not something that can be outsourced for a few hund...

Re: Any rumblings of a date for Moho 13 yet?

Oh, what did they (Toon Boom) rip from TVP? The advanced onion skin function. It's so close to the TV Paint design it's almost a copyright infringement. The current joke going around about Harmony 16's new strapline - "Empowering you to be more productive, with less effort." - is that it's Toon Boo...

Re: Any rumblings of a date for Moho 13 yet?

Hey Smith Micro! If you were waiting for Harmony 16 to be released before you released Moho 13, don't worry! It's out and should really be called Harmony 15.5 - its best new feature is ripped off from TV Paint, its second best is from Flash and the third best was in the last version, they just made ...

I know it's a fan remake, but they seem to have the same problems with artifacting that I did when trying to draw in 2.8. I hope they can address that before the final release.

Re: Do you know Flash/TV Paint and Harmony?

You know I'm not paying you for a comparison, it's Toon Boom doing it, right? :D I think Harmony is feeling Moho snapping at their heels, you only have to look at their Master Controllers feature to see that. And there's more places than ever using Moho. If they're not seeing Moho in their rear-view...
