Re: Tool idea for an easy 2.5D.

in Victor's image - I think this is the principle: think of the blue oval as the green circle rotated about a y axis centred on the pivot point of the bone, then the blue bone needs to be scaled to follow the x/y/z=0 coordinates of the rotated circle (and sorry, I really don't have the spare hours t...

Re: Isolate a video image to put into an animation

The "by the book" approach for this would be for your nephew to wear a green onesie and stand / act in front of a green screen (e.g. https://www.bristolvfx.com/body-suits) then chromakey out the green in your video editor.

Re: Mohpose 3D Posing System for Moho 12

hey David - that is amazing. I'm not sure if I can actually help with the action limit - but I'd still be happy to take a look. It might be something that a layerscript can help with???

Re: Edit freehand tool with saved settings?

Find the tool list file in your custom content folder ...\Moho Pro\scripts\tool\_tool_list.txt COPY IT and save the copy somewhere safe … then add a line for the filename (without the .lua) where you want it in the list e.g. the new line comes after the original freehand tool's line in the group MOH...

Re: Klaus Lighting Tutorial & Moho Lighting

in a similar vein, I've used vector shapes in layers with blend modes such as overlay, multiply, screen to create lighting effects (despite the comment in the OP video around 6:20 about "not the same as in Photoshop etc") masked onto the underlying object vector. The one thing that KLaS _seems_ to h...

Re: Smart Bones and Sub Bone Lyers

to make it work you need actions for the lower level bones... right now everything is in the B1 (top level) action. Nested bone control only goes down one level. IOW (as in Wes's example): add actions for (second level) B2 and B3 to drive the third level bones (e.g. B2 drives 1; B3 drives 3; they bo...

Re: Smart Bones and Sub Bone Lyers

yeah - one sublayer works fine -- it breaks at a deeper level of nesting. (There was a lot of discussion around this in a beta forum about 2 years ago - an enhancement request was logged and … well … we all know where we are with Moho development don't we … :( .) I did make a lash-up "proof o...

Re: Smart Bones and Sub Bone Lyers

Master bone layer has the controlling bone - and that bone has an action that manipulates the slave bones -- and they have actions that manipulate their layers?

Re: Multiple embedded video best practice

I have a project about a minute long which will contain 6-8 animations inside it, each of which will be within an oval vector layer using masking. The ovals containing the video will move a bit as well. I've learned that importing each of these videos into my project bogs the thing down as to becom...

Re: Questions about smart warp / 2D mesh

on the "lost the extra points" -- they need to make a shape (not just be capable of being a shape) IOW not just a path but a shape with fil and / or stroke. (looks as though triangulate will accept a path on "first run", but after that, it needs shapes to work with. on the "mask" -- if you take a cl...

Re: Questions about smart warp / 2D mesh

I added more points to the same vector layer but in a different place (so it wasn’t connected to the original 2D mesh) and tried to triangulate 2D mesh again for the new selection. It didn’t work, the points I added just disappeared. One explanation is that the new points didn't make a shape that c...

Re: Camera tips?

It sounds to me as though you have smooth (or some other ease-in/out) interpolation mode on the camera keys. Try linear. If it's not linear, adding keys will slow/speed up the transition around the new keys.

Re: 360º Smartbones using cycles

one approach: in the action have the SB go from 0 to 720 (linear) over, say, frames 1 to 121. put the turn animation in frames 1 to 61 (linear!), looped from 61 to 2 (so that the SB will be at frame 62 when the turn animation skips back to 2) start with the SB set at 360 so you can rotate it in asce...
