For anyone just learning Carrara I've got a copy of Mark Bremmer's excellent VTC tutorial for Carrara 5.6 plus the update to 6. It gives an excellent grounding in the basics, even for Carrara 8. I've finished with my copy and have put it up for sale on e-bay uk for anyone who's interested.

I had the same problem with ASP 7. Drove me nuts so I went back to 6.2. The fact that it's still present in 8 confirms my decision not to upgrade.

The other tutorials that really helped were Mark Bremmer's tutorials for VTC - the best were the ones for ASPro5. Cartoon Learning also do some useful tutorials.
