Smart bones and lip syncing

I'd like to share my satisfaction and frustration rigging a hed with smart bones. What I need is a head that turns with a mouth that speaks. Every viseme must me available in any view. The character may be saying "A" while at the same time turns to left. I started concerned with the head only. Creat...

Re: FREE Webinar: Character Rigging Using Smart Bones - Selg

Hi
After reading these posts, and after my own experience, looks like it's not possible to use switch layers (for lip syncing) inside a smart bone layer if mouth should turn with head.
Or am I missing something?

Re: smart bone can't move switch layer

I can't also move switch layer within smart bone. I rigged a head with a smart bone and a mouth switch layer nested. This switch layer has several vector layers for lip syncing. I double click the SB action to edit it. Go to one of the vector layers inside the switch layer to adjust it but then I re...

Re: Weird AS Pro 9.2 Issue

Contacted support and they repplied that image textures are not fully supported in vector layers when using Smart Bones.
I guess that's it.
Tks.

Re: Weird AS Pro 9.2 Issue

It's flexible binding. As a matter of fact, I didn't care about binding points. Just draw the rectangle and the bone, setting its strength to zero because I wanted to use it as a smart bone.
Anyway, I tested using region binding and behavior is same.

Re: Weird AS Pro 9.2 Issue

I create a vector layer inside a bone layer, drew a rectangle filled with a texture, created a bone and created a bone action for it http://dl.dropbox.com/u/50557449/Fill1.jpg I then double clicked the smart bone action and turned the bone to position, changing the shape of the rectangle http://dl...

Re: "It appears that a file was not properly saved last time

Contacted support and they gave me the folowing solution, which worked for the time being: Go to Mac HD/Users/(username)/Library/Preferences/Smith Micro/Anime Studio Pro/9/ directory. There should be an "Autosave.anme" file there. Delete it. Hope it helps for those who might face this problem in the...

Re: "It appears that a file was not properly saved last time

Same happening to me. Have installed v9.2 a couple of days ago and everytime I open it, I opened a file "Moving Body.anme" and made some tests, not saving it in the end and closing ASP. Nest time I opened ASP it said "it appears that a file was not properly saved last time. Would you like to recever...

Converting ASDebut 8 file to ASP 7

I managed to turn a AS Debut file Version 8 file into ASP Version 7 by deleting the following lines from the .anme file (rememberring that .anme files are text files and, to delete the lines, one should open it with a text editor): global_render_style 0 0 0 true stereo_mode 0 mask_expansion false ra...

Opening ASdebut v8 file in ASP v7

Sorry for one mistake.

Ignore line that says "0".

As a matter of fact, that's the most difficult one, because this zero must after the ] sign, like

]
0

That's the only zero that should be deleted.
