Seems a bit thin to imply that i am passing bad information, don't You think! :) How can I imply that when you haven't released anything yet? Had you release in that form then you would have found a different post to the one you got, believe me. You can't seriously tell me that you have fixed this ...

Not quite - more that you have been doing it without realising you have been doing it. Like sleep eating.

I will make a post on it. I had planned to, because so many people on this forum was using fbf out of place, but I didn't have the motivation for it, as I knew it would be a contentious issue.

I didn't see the bones but I guessed from the pivot rotation and deformations as to the placement. The chest bone is either too high up or you have two bones in the chest, which is not a good idea. there should not be bending up there. Of course it is animation and not real life, but, because of the...

Its incredible at what some people post here. oOo tough crowd! The only reason I can see for this long winded approach to not getting charged for software you don't want to buy, is to get the frustrated to give up and take a $200 hit. Why not make a desirable app instead? Imagine if, once you tried...

Personally I don't mind it, but was pointing out this thread was specifically a TvPaint thread, whereas the other was a comparison to AS. A TvPaint vs ASP thread would be more informative to me as it could highlight areas of improvement in both software. I was thinking it may be the vectors, but I d...

selgin, I have been using the layer translate to overlay movement, as you have done in your Mr Ed video, and so was wondering if you have come across any drawbacks to this method? Keyframe management, errors, etc.

Your video clearly shows the ik will be unstable during animation. You also have too many bones, or wrong bone placement, as the chest messes up during movement. There are already videos on making these cut-out style rigs, so why are you doing another? Your other posts advocate a less restricted wor...

chucky, I read elsewhere that if you don't upgrade your AutoDesk software that you lose the right to purchase at the upgrade price, but your licence is still valid, so you might want to check up on that. Also,if you think AD is bad, Newtek is worse. At least their high priced software functions as a...

Now I'm wondering, why is there a need to have a TVP thread here? They have a reasonably well attended forum of their own. Oh come on, don't you think that's being a little unfair? Last month there was a Toon Boom thread here where the product manager from Toon Boom itself came on here and did a sa...

So the Studio bones are the same as Anime Studio... No they are not. You only get forward kinematics with the bones in TBS, in AS you get both forward and inverse kinematics. I don't know what the features on TBAP are like compared to ASP, but I would agree that many fall short of the mark in ASP -...

Re: Morphing

I don't think it's as simple as that. I believe the vectors have their own id's, so, those would have to match up to get a 'correct' morph. This is the reason you duplicate the layer in switches - to maintain those id's.

I saw the end result before this tutorial. I think the movement is too extreme, it didn't read well. I would say it needs a breakdown. Also your end statement is a bit contradictory. There is a wrong way to do things in animation. That's what results in bad looking animation. A better statement is t...

Not a big deal, but in the Lost Layer Tool, the 3d option says 'Exclude' instead of 'Extrude' in the tool tips.

Yes, Toon Boom Studio has FK bones, but this thread is discussing Toon Boom Animate. And I think GCharb is correct that this product has no bones currently.

Blender can do toon shading with edges in the 'standard' version. But also there is a module called 'freestyle' which has a lot more advanced options and styles [sketching etc.]. Probably best to search youtube for blender + freestyle and check out the results. These toon effects look like 2d in sti...
