Autosave!! That was the culprit! I didn't know about that.. I've turned it off now & can work smoothly. Thanks so much for pointing that out, you've saved a lot of frustration and probably a few keyboards from being smashed too :) Also, thanks for the other replies .. just for the record, I have...

Issues when working with large files

Hi, I'm having a ridiculously annoying issue when working on my current animation: every 10-15 changes I make, Anime Studio freezes for about 5-10 seconds (I'm working on a Mac, so I see the spinning coloured wheel). The changes can be anything from cycling 10-15 frames into the animation (excluding...

I'd be really interested to see these motion tracking capabilities implemented into AS.... If AS is going to continue to be expanded, surely that's bound to happen one day!

Facepalm Housemate: phone hacking scandal

What with the recent News Corp phone hacking claims, and with Rupert Murdoch getting attacked by a pie (and his wife attacking the person that did it)... this is the second short animation in the "Facepalm Housemate" series me and a friend are putting together (based on stories of an idiot...

New series: Facepalm Housemate

Hi, Am currently working on a series of short (30-60 second) clips featuring two housemates - one normal guy and a complete douchebag. Thought I'd share the first clip, as it's animated with AS7 Pro. http://youtu.be/RiyQYSvbxx8 Comments/feedback welcome.. but please note the animation style is delib...

I also laughed at how his air randomly gets longer halfway through. Is that some sort of inside joke that I do not get?
Search for him on Google images - his hair is always different :)

Thanks for the comment!

Oprah interviews Julian Assange

Last week Oprah toured Australia.. here's a short animated clip of her doing an interview with the most famous Australian in the world, Julian Assange... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtsoxxCsY0I The animation was done in about 5 hours on a Sunday afternoon, and I know it could be improved. Also, t...

How long did it take you to make this? I like the fact that AS can be utilized for "quickie" animations like this. Maybe 3 hours all up.. can't really remember, I started it when I got home a bit drunk from dinner :) The room was done in Photoshop probably in about 10 minutes. I had a cou...

Wikileaks cyberwar animation

Did this a couple of hours after PayPal was taken offline in the "operation: payback" anonymous cyber attacks in defence of Wikileaks. Very quick and very basic ( <30 secs ). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XioPMMgRg98 Everyone's entitled to their own opinion on what those guys are doing. P...

I think you set yourself up a bit. It can be difficult to quantify something like "drawing quality", but you criticised the drawing for the original cartoon without supplying anything that looked substantially better, and the lip-sync was not as good as it could be. If you're serious, you...

Re: Ricky Gervais animation

Be that as it may, yours aren't any better. Both you and HBO fail on the Steve Merchant caricature, for example. That's not helpful in any way. If you're going to say mine aren't any better and that the caricature "fails", how about a suggestion on where you think it could be improved? wh...

Ricky Gervais animation

Hi, I've seen the animations by HBO of the Ricky Gervais podcasts and didn't think the characters were very well drawn, so I decided to give it a shot myself.. I've uploaded a video of an extract from one of the audiobooks which hasn't been animated by HBO. Please keep in mind everything was done in...

Hey man,

I was thinking of doing the same thing a long time ago (animating their podcasts) - glad to see someone's beaten me to it and done such a good job!

Hope to see more of this in the future. Keep up the good work.
