You could try with a 2nd bone layer. Put your layer inside and bind the bone. Then add a bone to this 2nd bone layer and bind the points. Maybe with a bit of work around you could do the trick you're looking for...

If you have multiple shapes on a layer and you want only one to fade you can set the alpha to 0, then add another keyframe with alpha to 100 where you want the it to start.
