If I remember correctly, we sometimes used the 'set affinity' option in the Task manager on our PC rendering machine. Basically we started two versions of the batch renderer and went into Task Manager, right-clicked on the batch processes and chose 'Set affinity' and let them use different CPUs. I b...

Keyframe improvements

I think the option Mike is outlining about channel on/offs is a good idea. Less clutter in the timeline would be a good thing. I think the timeline is the one thing in Anime that could do with a makeover. We have finished two seasons of an animated TV-series (12x29 minutes), and our animators all ag...

We render our TV series in 1024x576, but it shouldn't be a problem to render HDTV material from Anime. Two weeks ago I rendered a poster from Anime Studio Pro in 5000 x 4000 pixels. Took some time, but the render was totally smooth.

Anime Studio-made production at Annecy 2008

I'm happy to tell you that our TV-series "Halvseint" ("The Fairly Late Show") has been selected in the category Best animated TV series. The show is entirely animated in Anime Studio Pro here at Norwegian Broadcasting Coorporation in Norway. Season 1 is 6x24 minutes, and we're so...

Style limit

I don't know if this should be posted in the bug report or feature requests, but here goes: The styles palette is limited to showing/editing only 100 styles. You also need to resize the style palette to fit the styles, which can be a problem on a small screen. A better solution would be to have a sc...

Thanks heyvern, I'm getting slightly closer :) Right now I'm trying to mod the script to move down in the layer window. I think this is more valuable for us, adding shortcuts to move up and down in the layer window, selecting next/previous layer. But I'm having trouble with moho:SetSelLayer() Is the...

could you please also do a key for just navigating up and down by one layer? I'm experimenting with creating actions as per DarthFurbys tutorial, and with a lot of layers, its offputting to keep having to click up and down in the layers pallette :) Yeah, that's a really good idea. We'd love that fo...

Thanks Rylleman, this is helpful.

Now I need to find out how I can integrate your script with the LM_ManipulateBones script. The problem is that the manipulate bones tool is greyed out when a non-bone layer is selected, therefore the script doesn't seem to run.

help: Autoselect parent layer when pressing Z

We have pretty complex character rigs with lots of switch- and sublayers. We therefore spend a lot of time alternating between the parent (bone) layer and the sub/switchlayers. I was wondering if it's possible to edit the manipulate bone tool script to autoselect the parent bone layer when pressing ...

Switch layer is also one of the channels that are missing. Would love to find that for my own script. How do you think it is possible to key a switch layer? Which value will you use? The last one in the time line? Next one?. IMHO keyframe a switch layer is not possible. Keyframe the layers inside t...

The soundtrack starts on frame 1. What we are experiencing is a discrepancy between the audio display in Anime, and the actual length of the audio (in frames). Sometimes this is displayed as 1 frame too long in Anime, sometimes as 2, and sometimes as the correct length. The only way to correct for t...

Audio - Frame range bug/inaccuracy

We have discovered a bug or inaccuracy in the way Anime displays audio. When rendering out segments, we have been setting the frame range to the length of the audio display in the timeline. This sometimes results in a segment being one frame too long. We then did a test with papagayo, and discovered...
