The Ghost of Stephen Foster

This is the music video for the Squirrel Nut Zippers song, The Ghost of Stephen Foster . It came out about 1997/98 when the big temporary swing revival was going on. Everybody paid attention to the Brian Setzer Orchestra, but these guys were always my favorite. When I animate a character dancing or ...

I'll see what I can do. It'll be a while, as they live about 4 states away. I'm sure they still have the movie, they wouldn't have gotten rid of it.

My parents have this on tape. It's a fantastic movie, and I thoroughly recommend getting a copy from wherever you can and watching it. 4 or 5 times.

I used to watch it a lot when I was growing up. This movie is probably the biggest influence for me to do animation.

Heyvern's got it right, but I'll toss in my 2 cents worth. I recently finished a project that is in HD video that will be played on the big screen. The files were massive. I rendered at 1920 X1080, quicktime, uncompressed. Then I imported the files into my video editor (Premiere) and when I finished...

Anime Girl Test

I've been using AS for a little while now, and I enjoy the functionality and ease of use. I figured I'd submit a little something that I doodled up recently. Maybe I'll animate her later on, right now this is it. http://ic3.deviantart.com/fs12/i/2006/306/7/a/Moho_Anime_Character_Test_by_russelltlm.j...

With the add point tool you can add more points along a line, allowing you to increase/decrease the width of the line, extend the line out further without having to draw new shapes, add details, etc. Translate points allows you to move and manipulate points in 2d space, or move them down the line. So...

You can rename all the mouth shapes in moho to accompany the shapes. All the shapes and the corresponding names are in the papagayo directory, just cross reference. It's what I do. It takes just a little while, but it fixes that problem.

Even if it doesn't export any useful files, it could still be good to create backgrounds, scenery, and establishing shots.

So far, I've found Artweaver to be the best. It's free, offers more functions in the free version than ArtRage, and I like the layout and use. Total control, very nice.
