Re: Moho's future

I have a brilliant idea: SM sells Moho to the Blender organisation. They develop it to the next level and integrate it as 2D-Mastertool in Blender. We get all the features we need for seamless integration into 3D space, such as lighting ans so on. And the best of all: it's open source... okay maybe ...

Re: Moho's future

I think there are still alot of things that could get Moho better. Think of a reliable vector drawing engine. Constructing characters in Moho is okay, importing bitmap characters is okay. But native drawing in Moho would be great (and I don't mean this weird drawing stuff in M13). This would be grou...

Re: Moho's future

Hello Moho-Friends, well, I still am happy with Moho 12.5. But... (there is always a "but") ... I think most of us animators would feel better, if Moho would have a clear opportunity to grow. When you look around tools like Cartoon Animator get updates nearly every 6 month. And not just bugfixing. T...

Re: Is scaling keyframes in motion graph not working?

Hmmmm... just to be clear: I use ALT+mousedrag to scale the keyframes propotionally up or down (e.g. movement is right but too fast).
I made a short clip to demonstrate this:

Re: Is scaling keyframes in motion graph not working?

Hey Victor, just checked this out. I'm using 13.0.1 and it still works. Mark the keyframes, hold alt and drag the last one. Scales up and down...

Re: Question to synthsin75 --- layer shortcut script

Oh, yes. Thank you. I could have found this myself
Works fine again. This script saves me so much time when animating. Awesome.

Question to synthsin75 --- layer shortcut script

Hello, I'm using the layer shortcut sxript in Moho 12 and everything works well. Now I'm trying to use it with Moho 13. Every time I use it it returns a message in the LUA console: --path to custom content folder\syn_layer_shortcuts.lua:544:attempt to index local 'file' (a nil value) Well, I tried t...

Re: No upgrade path

Interested to hear your thoughts on CA4. I downloaded the trial and tinkered around with it for a bit, but wasn't impressed enough with it to invest more time in learning a new piece of software. The mocap stuff is interesting, though! Well there are several very interesting ideas in this software:...

I skipped 12 because from reading here it seemed to be not as reliable as 11. I don't jump to 13 right now, first I need to know wether those issues were fixed.
Yes, I decieded to wait too. I'ts not the money but I'm not sure that 13 is truely productionready.

Timelag while animating

Hi Animators, I have a question concerning Moho 12. I build a character in eight different views. Every view contains some actions, switches and patches. Nothing unusual so far. In the scene only one view is visible at a time. Now I'm starting to animate and get a time lag between grabbing a bone an...

Re: Any rumblings of a date for Moho 13 yet?

I'm not happy with the new features of Moho 13. Yes, you can use the bitmap tool for nice drawings. You can achieve certain styles. But you cannot combine it with vectors to get a visually convincing result. Its just like bebemustacio says: not ready for production. And by the way: a smooth line sho...

Re: Any rumblings of a date for Moho 13 yet?

Yes, expectations are high, especially after this long period of waiting for a new version.
But this movie says nothing about what might changed in the motor of the software. I didn't expect the interface to be changed or anything so obvious.

Re: Moho Toon Looking 3 D vs Blender

Hey Ceam, this character is 2D, means: It is flat. I think it's handdrawn. You can define the edges (colours, thickness). But you have to draw the character. Then you have to split it into different layers (for arms, legs and so on). The layers are rigged with bones, then you can animate it. You sho...

Re: Should I Flexi-Bind?

Yes, I use flexi binding mostly. I often combine it with elements that need point binding. It depents on what your character needs, there is definitely no right or wrong, just works good or not. There are tutorials from McCoy Buck about this and his complete rigging course on Udemy.

Re: Moho Toon Looking 3 D vs Blender

Hello Ceam, I think you mix up things a bit. Blender ist (mostly) build for 3D animation. Moho is a tool for 2D animation. Although you can import 3D models in Moho this is not moho's strenght. It sounds a bit like you are a newbie to animation, right? Well first of all you should be clear with what...
