Re: Smart actions for bone scale
Got it, thanks for clarifying! Some additional thoughts... What I would really like to see in a future Moho release is a Smart Bone UI tool kit, that adds more types of controls besides 'dials', like sliders and buttons. To me, squashing and stretching a bone is basically how a slider works, and se...

Re: Smart actions for bone scale
This is how you'd make bone scaling affect a rotating smart bone: https://i.ibb.co/Dgc7FhX/ezgif-1-2acec9ea7f.gif See, it’s a nice workaround but you can already just directly scale the bone and if I wanted more control over the appearance of what the scale affects, I’d rather have it controlled by...

Re: Smart actions for bone scale
“ That said, if would be cool if an Action could be directly linked to the scale of a bone rather than only the two rotation directions.” Exactly my point, though. If I wasn’t clear, the action directly lined to the scale of a bone is just what I’m talking about. I think over-using smart actions in ...

Smart actions for bone scale
Watching the Armchair Moho work I saw they were using a smart bone dial for head squash. Wouldn’t it be great to be able to apply a smart action to the scaling of a bone? No? I’d use the heck out of it, who needs yet another dial sitting around distracting you?

Re: Adding bone cartilage
I’d be down if they promise to never ever ever call it that. Ugh, what a terrible term for a feature. Surely there’s better.

Re: SOLVED: Smart Action changes intermittently incorrectly displayed
Solved it, I think it's still a bug but I know what happened. When I moved an audio track in the sequencer I accidentally bumped the bone layer back a frame. I guess the mismatch of bone layer sequencer position between this and having created the actions before the sequencer accident caused this. B...

Re: Smart Action changes intermittently incorrectly displayed
Some kind friends opened this on Windows and it doesn't happen for them. I save iteratively, an older version doesn't do this either. There is some weird mix of the M1 Pro chip and some small error or bone change I made that is causing this. So frustrating, I'll file a bug report but the fact that I...

Re: Smart Action changes intermittently incorrectly displayed
02wc6AUjt2Y Here's what it looks like, it's becoming worse and worse, to the point where I simply cannot work with the rig. I can turn off the actions on the head turns, that was just a time saver for having the turns on the main timeline. But the body turns still are a problem for posing. As you c...

SOLVED: Smart Action changes intermittently incorrectly displayed
Okay, here's the thing. I've been hugely careful with the actions, but I have a shoulder turn that moves the arms in front of or behind the body using layer order. I also have a bone that flips through the switch layers for my feet shapes. Both of these work fine and export fine. But sometimes, when...

Blend Morph revival?
As far as I can tell, the Blend Morph panel is kind of "abandonware" which is a real shame. I'm guessing smart actions mostly replaced it, but it has abilities that are unique to it, such as the negative settings and just the ability to dial in a huge range of expressions for a character. ...

About a thousand +1 clicks for bone groups. Shy Bones show it is possible to have a bone group, now if we could have the ability to define our own to clear some of the thicket of bones when we don't need certain things...

Re: Separate dimensions and freeze keys
This is a known issue. If you are only dealing with only a few wanted keyframes, you can: double-click -or- right-click > [Add Keyframe] on the the relevant channel in the timeline with the separated dims to add keyframes ( individually ). Precisely what I am doing. Glad it's a known issue, I serio...

Separate dimensions and freeze keys
Okay, so I separate the dimensions for X and Y on target bones and core bone. But when trying to freeze a single frame, everything EXCEPT the separate dimension keys get set. Is this a bug? A feature? Am I missing something? As both X and Y dimensions show on the main timeline but refuse to auto fre...

Universal Grid and Guides
Every single time I work in this program I am so surprised that everyone else isn’t demanding a universal grid and guides. They would be so helpful, and for me they seem a massive hole in the program. The fact that each layer has its own grid that can be different from other layers… ugh. And I’ve tr...
