Hawaiian Life

Life is really good for me here in Honolulu.
I do feel very lucky to be doing what I do in a place like this. 3 1/2 years now!

Poor Encode

Mahalo much to you Tiger! I really appreciate your advice. Now that I look at the YouTube version of the spot the encode has turned REALLY dark and over saturated. What I posted was no where near as bad as that. I'm guessing this is a process of YouTube then. AND YES! They do serve burgers li...

Final Commercial

Well, nature of the beast. Being pressed for production time I did what I could.
Here's a YouTube link to the final commercial. The client is very happy!

Oh yes. I came to the right place!

Really stunning response SlowTiger & everyone! More than I could have hoped for. I'm putting together a TV commercial for a local burger joint. It's not fully animated, but I'll be sure to post the result when I'm done here.

:P MAHALO NUI LOA!

Hot Rod Flames - Animated

I'm in need of creating the typical hot-rod flames (not realistic flames) you see on motorcycles and sportsters. It would be no problem for me to create stills of these stylized flames. But I need to have them animated with the flames licking up. Anyone know of a tutorial that can pull that off? Doe...

Well three vector points isn't going to give you foot control, or look like he has a knee.

All the same I think you answered my question. This is just one of the limitations of the software. I'll just deal with it.

Thanks.

Smoother Curves?

I've been trying to build a curvy stick figure type of character. I'm having trouble with Anime Studio Pro making my curves kinda rounded hinge points instead of a nice smooth curve. (see attached GIF). Is getting a smooth curve even possible with a multi-point character? If I'm required to use 5 po...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but AfterEffects can not detect movement in a stationary QuickTime. How would it know to interlace a moving arm over a static leg?

NTSC/PAL Interlacing Renders

I do animation for television.
When I export Maya animations I set them up interlaced NTSC.

How about the same option in Anime Studio renders?

Thank You for the Kind Praise

Overall it took me about 40 hours worth of work. 3/4 of which were spent builting the two sets. Also learning how to build them so that they'd do what I needed them to do. Thanks to some of the posts from this forum I was able to hammer out the bugs. Thanks again for the Papagayo tip heyvern. If I h...

Dollar Dog & Timmy

Here's something I've just completed using Moho for almost all the graphics. I composited the animation and video with AfterEffects. Notice the lip synch. I manually did the lip synching in Moho. It looks so much cleaner that the layer switching you get from lip synching software. ENJOY ! http...

Mask Group won't bind to Bones

http://www.mps-twcable.com/Temporary/Dollar_character.jpg I'm having difficutly with this character centered around his eyes. In order to have a good eye blink I created a Group Layer mask. I have 3 vector layers inside the group layer: eyeballs, pupils, eyelids. The group layer's settings are set ...

Even better still: I made the walls flush with the camera in Moho and rendered them out full screen. Saved the render as a PNG and imported it back in.

Worked great!
It looks exactly as Moho intended with the outlines without going through Photoshop.

Thank you Ramón.
I think I understand what you're saying. Essentially I should create the shape and texture in Photoshop and import it as a PNG.

That seems like a sensible solution. :)

BINGO

Ya know, I kinda thought that it looked like the codec was being a bit confused by the gradient as well. But I was using the Animation codec. This I was told was uncompressed (is that right?). Anyways, I followed your suggestion and added a noise grain of 5 to my project settings. That solved it. :D...
