Re: Help Shape the Future of Anime Studio

What about adding the ability to lock a layer so it doesn't move accidentally?

Re: Content Paradise Shutdown Disussion

I know exactly what you are talking about and from a content providers POV it all just became impractical. Really good Smart Bone setups are quite hard and complicated to do. If you were to charge for the time spent on making just one of those type of rigs it would be way to expensive. Like I said....

Re: Help Shape the Future of Anime Studio

Okay, SVG works fine. Thanks. What about this? In the layers panel, how about moving the Trash icon to the far right of the icon line ? Putting it next to the <...> icon has gotten me to mistakenly delete layers that I certainly did not want to delete. Yes, I've gotten used to being more careful abo...

Re: Help Shape the Future of Anime Studio

I don't see much improvement in importing Illustrator files in Version 12. Even imported as Illustrator V3, they don't import at all well. The layered Photoshop files work great! But Illustrator is lagging behind. So, besides the ability to import LAYERED Illustrator files, I would like to see Moho ...

Re: Importing Illustrator Files

....But in this day and age the vector import in AS is pretty sad compared to all the other design applications I work with. Vector exchange between design applications and AS really must be looked at. There is no reason NOT to have proper vector import - especially for an animation tool which prid...

1. Flawless importation of Adobe Illustrator files 2. Keeping great Anime Studio teachers such as Mark Bremmer on the payroll or at least keeping them updated about new versions of AS Pro so that quality tutorials can be produced at the same time as new releases. Thus, new students can learn the so...

While I love the existing Anime Studio tutorials on VTC, I would love to see a tutorial that firstly covers the new additions (naturally), but also takes a single project from beginning to end, much like the Anime Studio Pro 5 tutorials. In other words, let's just assume that you are producing a 30...

I actually haven't upgraded yet and am still on ASP7. It's hard to believe that it's been almost two years since I last annoyed you folks with my posts. All this time I've been wrestling with ToonBoom Animate and now ASP8 has made me do a U-turn. It has always been a pain to me that ASP didn't impo...

I don't really have a problem bringing up issues. Many of the issues you and others have pointed out are legitimate and valid. It's the constant between the lines "commentary" that goes along with it that is driving me CRAZY! We ALL WANT AS TO BE GREAT! We want it to succeed and become a ...

Re: Why are most AS cartoons only a few seconds long?

When I go to Youtube and this forum, I notice that most people who utilize some of AS's greater features (like head turns and realistic movements) only make these short 5 second tests. It never goes beyond that. Some of these people made these "test" years ago and have not followed up. .....

Thanks for the tip.
You're welcome. Also, the VTC tutorials have info you won't find anywhere else. And the eye blink method is far superior to what Rose Agent shows. The VTC tutorials might seem pricey, but they are worth every penny.

The VTC tutorials are excellent. If you really want to see what ASP can do, the Rose Agent character on Content Paradise includes videos on how she was constructed. It's really some high level techniques shown. Rose Agent http://www.contentparadise.com/us/user/rose_agent_character_pack_for_anime_stu...

Re: Creating complex charaters

For each charater I write down personality 4 traits for each charater 2 that are good the other 2 bad traits . Then, your story line will not go anywhere if their good and bad traits are balanced. Better to skew them 1 to 2 or 2 to 3 so they have more depth on one side or the other of the Dark Side...
