Yes, Vern, it's exactly the same in my small town, over our side of The Pond. Quite bizarre - one snowflake, and the shelves are emptied! Sugar disappears too, though - white, again. Maybe you have a theory there!

to slowtiger: yes, that's good advice, and I do have a very basic one, but I was just searching for a better "angle of attack", in case one was there. Thanks. to funk: yes, *nods sagely and sighs* I know you are right, and no doubt it is what I will end up doing. I hate reproducing any art...

I guess that's a resounding "NO" then >.< Thanks for your help anyway, guys. In case you were wondering, the programs I started it in were Jasc Paint Shop Pro and Jasc Animation. The latter is a very simple "frame assembler", with which one types in a time for each frame, which c...

Thank you. At last! the link actually worked for me! I unzipped it from "downloads" to a new folder in "my documents" and it has finally imported! Erm.... will I be able to set the individual frames up properly, because I had forgotten the AVI format had messed it all up? The tim...

Well at least that means it's do-able. That is encouraging, and it gives me the will to keep trying. You and I both know the issue is with me, here, and I have a lot to learn. I'm painfully aware of that. I may unzip that same file and try that one. There's something I'm doing wrong. I'll work throu...

mkelly, thank you for giving my query some attention, but I fear you haven't borne in mind what my query actually is, perhaps. I have merely followed synthsin's instruction and posting one of the files that is giving me a problem. I only have two that I'm interested in, and I can't import either of ...

....import a QT movie that (so far) says it isn't there?

Last year, when I found I had Jasc Animation, I started two small projects that I would like to continue in AS Pro. I've tried to "load one of them in" in every way I can think of. The closest I get to success is a single frame imported. I have got about 4 or 5 copies of it now, all of whi...

Haha, thanks, Chucky. The point I was making is that we new people have the language to learn, as well as the program itself, so using more than one word for something just adds to our confusion! Yes, I said I had tried the camera. I'm sure it IS what I'm after, but all my shapes and sizes went hayw...

I do try to find out for myself first, but thank you, synthsin. I have attempted to be as specific as I can. I'm getting to grips with the A S Pro vocabulary as I go also. Like "vertices"; I haven't seen "vertex" (singular) mentioned, but does it refer to all points here, or just...

Thank you, funk! (Note to self: Right click everything to see what happens...!) Since 27th of december I have been reading the tutorials. (see my posts in Pixelpusher's question, How do I....> Am i driving you crazy yet?). I have read them over and over and absorbed very little of it. For your infor...

Thank you both, I found it. It was indeed a stray keyframe, which I found when I scrubbed the good one and the trunks STILL managed to sneak off! The strange thing is that I had shut the program in frustration, and opened it again after your last post, heyvern, and the animation behaved completely d...

GCharb's advice led me to search again for errant keyframes (thank you, GCharb!), and I have found, not extra keyframes, but some which I assume must be missing, heyvern! As I have explained to GCharb in a pm, I put the keyframe for frame 420 in one move, touching ONLY the group layer, as far as I a...
