compression for web
Thanks very much folks- you have answered all my problems. First of all , yes I was compressing twice! and yes of course the host ' youtube' was adding its own compression, so no wonder was all somewhat degraded, to say the least. The trouble is I'm usually trying to make something that I can output...

video compression for web
Hi, Not sure how to make myself understood but- here goes. For exporting animation I like qt sorenson video 3, I find it best quality for size, but some stuff I do I put into video editing programs, ie., arcsoft. I am able to import the qt videos in to this with no problem. I then add sound and titl...

re animation sitting to standing animal
Hi, Thanks for your help- the bone locks work good. I hadn't thought of locking the front feet, nor the angle constraints on the knees, was just getting in a big mess with 'translate' bones and 'rotate bones' and got a very oddly shaped dog....... Maggie

animating animal from standing to sitting
Hi, What might be the best way to animate an animal (with long legs) from a standing postiion to a sitting position and vice versa? The back legs are the problem. I tried a switch layer for a standing animal and another switch layer for sitting, it works OK but I couldn't get it to 'interpolate' eve...

switch and group layers within bone layers.
Thanks to all who helped re this. AT LAST- after all day, I've got it! My problem was the incorrect use of the bind layer tool and the selection of the incorrect 'bone'. Don't know how I've managed it- but ever since I got Moho some months ago, I didn't know I even had to use the bind layer tool for...

switch layers binding to bone layers
Hi again... Thank you Myles. When I follow your instructions exactly on something very simple I can get the switch layer move properly with the bone layer. When I try to put right my more complex 'ostrich' animation, it goes wrong! As long as I only manipulate the 'parent' bone all works perfectly, ...

switch layers within bone layers
Hi, Thanks very much for your help. I still haven't got it quite right. I find that my 'child' head bone, doesn't move the beak at all, but the bone below that , 'parent' bone does move the beak ok. I have dissected the bird beak example you sent, and tried to copy it , but your 'top bone' moves the...

switch layers within bone layers
Hi, Is there a way get a switch layer to follow within a bone layer? eg., I have a beak (sideview) on the head of a stork. I have tried making a separate head layer , head bone layer and the beak switch within it, but the beak won't move properly when I animate the neckhead bone. I have tried variou...

winsor anime pro and moho and paint bucket
Thankx Selgin. Winsor is gone..... In my Moho there was not a paintbucket as in Anime pro. I know you could fill shapes without the symbol of paintbucket in moho, but I like to have symbols of 'paintbuckets'.... like having a button with 'press here' on it. Makes things simple for simple people like...

anime pro 5 and windsor.
I have got the Anime studio pro as well as moho. I want to get rid of 'winsor' , and I can't. Have tried deleting him twice, and still he reappears. I also would like to get rid of the 'frontpiece' the elfhead with the muscles of godzilla... but I suppose this is an integral part of the program! (I ...

sound tracks in moho
Oh Wow- that is brill! Took me a while to get the script to unzip in the right place.... but now I have and I'm really pleased... :) I have a good cd called 6000 sound effects, now that I can place sound to come in when I want it does open up possibilities of things like creaky doors opening, footst...

sound tracks
Hi, Can anyone tell me how to move a 'piece' of soundtrack up the timeline? It always comes to the beginning of the animation. This is an elephant trumpet. which I want at the end of the animation, not where it is at the beginning. Is there a way to shift it within moho? I could probably take it to ...

drawing tool and fill shapes
Hi, I assume you are using the 'freehand draw' tool. I have found it easier to always use the point tool, so that you make your shape 'closed' more easily with that, you can add points to manipulate the shape and so you kind of draw in a different way. doing hair like you want would be OK, you can a...

moho filesbackup
Thanks very much. Have done what you suggest- pity I didn't realise how to do it before, because it took all afternoon. I did 'save as' for all the small files I wouldn't want to lose- to 'my documents' to a 'moho' bits folder, then transferred the folder out to CD and a gismo. It works well- now I ...

backing up moho files
Hi, I have built up a fairly substantial library of 'objects' characters, test animations, backgrounds etc within moho. Can anyone tell me how I could back this lot up- as I would hate to lose it all. I know how to back up stuff like photofiles, videos, but not files within a program, nor can I find...
