Hmmm. Okay, let me make sure I've got this straight... my Layers panel should look something like this: Anna Animations (switch layer) Anna Idle Side (bone layer) Head Eyes (switch layer) Closed Open Mouth (switch Layer) Rest A,I E O (etc.) Neck Torso (etc.) Anna Idle 3/4 (bone layer) Head Eyes (swi...

Looks like the Cartoon Solutions rigs for sale don't include walks. But supposing I wanted to include one, how would I go about it? Should I just include a separate anme file for each animation I want to include in the bundle? Or is animation compartmentalization more of a pro-only feature? Some tut...

Interesting points raised there in that little back-and-forth, just now. I can think of some features, such as a character with tattoos down his arms, where cutout (pardon the pun) just wouldn't cut it. That said, take a look at the image at the top of this page. Look at the bottom-most image. Her l...

Ugh, I see your point. Sorry about that. At the time it seemed like it nicely showcased the rotating limbs, but that's because I'm used to looking at it frame by frame in the timeline. >.< I'll work on a better animation and have one ready soon. *Edit* Oh, NOW I see what you're saying. Use two parts...

Duly noted. Thanks, mkelly. :D I'll take a look at some other toons and see what I can do... probably I just need to make the forehead bigger. I always draw the forehead too short, I have no idea why. Oh, and in the demonstration video, the hand and wrist pass in front of the torso at about the 2 se...

It also represents my first attempt at using Anime Studio. If I can get it polished and working well enough, I'd like to start ...

I recently designed a character in Flash, exported that as an image, loaded the image into Anime Studio standard edition, and then traced it with the Add Points tool. I did it this way because the joints of the character needed to be perfectly round circles and Flash was the best drafting tool at my...

Huh. I didn't even know you could use scripts in the standard version. I figured since particles were pro-only, scripting must not exist in AS standard, because particles are a fairly easy thing to implement in most scripting languages. As long as you have access to a graphics library and basic data...

Interesting. So it's a benefit to make products than even standard users can buy and use? I suppose the best would be to release two versions, one for standard and one for pro, if the pro features help streamline the animation process. Switch layers... I'll have to look that up. Thanks for the tip! ...

Ah, good, I was hoping there would be a thread on this! :) This is kinda a no-brainer, but I'll need to purchase Pro before I'll be capable of producing content people would actually use, right? I'm currently developing a great rigged character that can pose in some extreme ways. But without Actions...

Oh, I dunno. I come from a Flash background, and compared to Flash, Anime Studio non-pro is great for 2D animation. It gives you a better workflow, than flash, more consistent design tools, the ability to drag points for lifelike animation, and skeleton rigging that actually works right the first ti...
