Re: squashing a cheeseburger? is there a way?

I'd do this in 3 layers: one is the bun as a whole, with the origin point set to the bottom, so it could squash and stretch via scaling (press alt) easily. The other 2 layers would be the topping, a bit wider than the bun, so they appear to be inside. Let lettuce and cheese act as lips, rig two bone...

Re: Happy 2020!

Could you restrict your hate to your own room? I've done a film with all the stuff that bothered me last year, including the death of friends (you don't see the urns very clearly), and, of course, with just a fraction of the bad news happening everywhere. If you don't want to deal with politics, fin...

Re: Duplicate Layer Scaling Issue

Short answer: you can't. If you're already in a situation where a multiple nested and scaled structure gets included in another of those structures, there's no way to prevent misplacement. That's why you need to plan each project and each scene so you can restrict layer scaling to the absolute minim...

Re: Cannot transform layers

Have the image files or their path been moved or renamed?

Can you re-link the images and do they work then?

Re: Swishy transparency

If you're happy with that, use it. Just export without any background, in a format which supports alpha channel/transparency.

Re: Swishy transparency

Best way is to create this in any pixel-based program on real transparency - Photoshop, Gimp, TVPaint.

Re: Music creation/editing software

No, none of them is intuitive. The easiest I know is Apple's Garage Band, don't know if there's an equivalent for Windows. It's always a trade-in: if you want easy, you get presets and pre-fabricated loops and not much editing. If you want complete freedom, you'll get a complex program with lots of ...

Re: Problem with PSD import?

Ah! Forbidden characters!

This is an old issue: Moho doesn't like anything outside 7bit ASCII - no german Umlauts, no space in a file or folder name, and some special characters as well.

Re: Problem with PSD import?

You didn't accidentially move the file aftere importing or changed/renamed anything in the file path?

Re: FBF and bitmaps

Big red flag: "she wants the actual imported bitmaps to be animated". People with no understanding of the requirements of animation shouldn't be allowed to make films. Let them use Powerpoint.

Re: Big really hard project looming - planning?

I recommend to do a lot of thumbnail sketches for the different poses, that*'s better than just describing them.

If you do some movement you've never done before, it's a good idea to test it in a separate file first, with simple shapes, this will give you a good idea about how to design and rig it.

Re: Big really hard project looming - planning?

Really good storyboarding helps a lot. Which movements are involved, how can they be shown the best way, and is this way easy to do in Moho? Side view walk cycles and any rotation around Z are simple, everything else not. Don't know how much emotion is in the script, but take care to be able to expr...

Bialetti

I like this logo character a lot: https://www.lifeinitaly.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/640px-Logo_Bialetti.png and there's even some animation of him from the 1950's.
