I'm trying to learn Dvorak myself. I still stumble over my own fingers just using QWERTY, though. I haven't used ASP6 much yet, but there was one thing I noticed: font rendering is much better. I've only noticed slight conversion errors in Chinese text; and that's quite a huge step. I wouldn't have ...

I don't know about those other sound formats. All I know is that mp3 is still under patent. That's true, I forgot about that. FLAC and Vorbis, however, were designed to be patent-free from the start. See here for more info, if you're interested. Basically, Vorbis is an open-source equivalent to MP3...

FLV is just a container format. It contains either H.263 or VP6 video, and MP3 audio.

I would love support for Ogg Vorbis or FLAC audio, but I'm just happy I checked back here just in time to find out about ASP6 in the first place. Which is worth the money based on the demo. Time to save up...

Unfortunately that command line render does not allow you to choose CPU and I'm guessing the process to do so will be more cumbersome than just running multiple instances of AS. Actually, if you simply run two instances from the command line, your operating system (Windows, I'm guessing) will autom...

Mine is a lot less interesting, but it kind of matches the rest of the Apple professional apps.

Also, I like blue.

If you're exporting to a format that supports transparency, such as PNG, it should be transparent in any part of the image with no filled shapes. For example, if you select File->New, and export that blank canvas to a PNG, it will render a fully transparent image. So I guess the question would be, w...

I only looked at the site quickly, but my first impression is that I'd still rather pay $5-$10 per month for a Dreamhost site. At least I know I can rely on them, and I like their policy of openness and their philosophy that it's worth spending a bit of money to make even a disappointed former custo...

What operating system? There is an updated Mac OS X executable on these forums that fixes a bug on OS X 10.5 and a recent version of Quicktime.

If you're using Windows, you may have found a new bug.

iDVD can do it easily, and it comes pre-installed on every Mac.

So there you go. All platforms covered.

Do you mean you're writing your own program like 'Anime Studio'? Or are you trying to write a program which would divide the rendering of an .anme into a number of calls to AS? The latter one. Competing with Anime Studio is useless. AS is already the best there is. :D The latter could be done on th...

I don't think it is. However, I've been experimenting with batch command-line rendering in a program I've been starting to work on. If I can create a multi-threaded program, and have each thread render a separate scene file, that would be as close as it would ever get. I still don't know if that wou...

Actually, most of the reason I hate YouTube is because it doesn't work. I'm lucky if I can get more than the first 10% of a video to load, and if I do, then it loads at dial-up speeds, and about five seconds in the video pauses for 10 seconds, making watching shorter clips impossible, and longer cli...

There are no video sites that are more popular than YouTube, but almost all of them are better. I would recommend Google Video, since like YouTube, it's owned by Google, and yet it has (from what I've seen) higher quality videos, no length limitations, and fewer retarded comments.
