Re: In Too Deep
Interesting stuff, looking forward to the next post, I'm always fascinated at different peoples approaches to rig interfaces. On the last project we tried symbols for the first time, as we had a multi country crew

Re: folders for styles, referencing issues
It depends Mattmos, how complex your characters are, but Victor, for my fathers dragon, made a bunch of small characters, of different colours using a smart bone to change them with in scenes. You can see if very briefly in his first video here, 56 secs in (it helps if you play tte video at .25 spee...

Re: AWS Thinkbox Deadline for Moho
Yeah we use Deadline in Cartoon Saloon for all our rendering, on Puffin Rock we have Moho and After Effects linked into it, although we make a submission through ShotGrid (previously shotgun) that triggers a rendering of a set file in a set location. that works for scene prep and animation, who work...

Wind Sample with Default settings
The New Wind tool was one of the first things we got to play with on the beta team, but it took me a little while to get my head around it and the different settings. So to help me I made this file which has a bunch of defaults to I could see how the wind might effect diffrent rigs of different spri...

Re: Controlling a Style's Fill with Smart Bones?
At the moment there isnt a way to control styles, you have to apply the colour as a normal fill colour. work arounds would be using duplicate layers of your vectos in the other styles that have visibilties turned on and off inside the smart actions

Re: Bone that moves another bone that moves a third bone
depending on what you want to be able to do with the 3 bones, I have had some success in the past with mixing smart bones and angle control
B1 (SB) - SB drives -> B2 (SB) - angle control drives -> B3 (SB)
this method does mean you loose manual control of B3

Re: Switch Layer Slave
Hey DK, if I have MASTER FILE --bone layer ----Original Switch -----Reference Switch (of Original Switch) this works fine as expected, the reference is controlled by the original then if I import the bone layer from the Master File as a reference to a child file, I get this CHILD FILE --bone layer (...

Re: Switch Layer Slave
I'd be curious DK, if you then reference that model in a scene does the link break? I think it does. and we were looking for a way around it without using scripts
