Thanks Mike,

Great to hear. Good luck, I hope you can figure it out. I know these things can be tricky.

Well at this point I have seen lots of speculation that the problem may involve DRM in quicktime but that's still just speculation. Apple may share some blame in this however, 1) Smith Micro should keep their products up to date so they work with current software. Users should not have to search out...

I had the same problem so I requested and got a full refund from smith micro. They KNOW that this program does not work on Macs yet they keep selling it. I don't want to be too melodramatic but isn't that criminal? The work-around is of course the batch render function but batch render is only an op...

So did they fix the biggest bug of all in the Mac version? The fact that it crashes every time you try to export? Still seems like a beta release of an animation program if you can't even render an animation without crashing. I got a refund for Anime Studio and they were nice about it but come on, t...

A little update. After sending an email asking why I hadn't heard back from tech support and whether or not they expected to have a solution I was told that, "this has been written up as a bug and should get fixed in an upcoming service release." The nice person I spoke with had no indicat...

I wrote lost marble and not to worry. They are working on a new Leopard friendly version as we speak. They still haven't changed their site though and it says the current version works with 10.4 or later which is confusing an inaccurate. It would be pretty easy to put a note up that says 10.5 compat...

Megaboy, I'm having the same problem right now. I sent a email to tech support. It took a few days to get a response but they had me trash a few preference and setting files and restart. This did nothing. I sent them my crash log, system config and the files that it crashes on but it has now been a ...

I see people have been posting about this problem for over a year now that you cannot export animations with the Mac OS version of AS. It seems criminal to sell an animation program that can't export and claim in your literature that there are "no known issues." If I can't export my animat...

An interesting update,

If I delete my vector based background, the export works and does not crash. Now why would that be? Again, it isn't all that complex a background.

Yup, I know that. Sorry if my post was unclear. Those were supposed to be two thoughts. I should have put them into two paragraphs. 1) There is no active X option in preferences for quicktime (probably since I'm on a mac) and 2. I was just giving examples of what I am doing in AS as far as options. ...

Hello all, I'm having the same problem on a new Intel based Mac running 10.5. It is pretty poor of them to sell a non-functional product to customers. If you look at the e-frontier website they claim they are aware of no problems with Anime Studio in 10.5. If I didn't want to export my work I could ...

Hmm, that doesn't help me. I'm still having crashes. I'm on a mac and I don't seem to have an active X box to uncheck as an option. When I go to export I get a choice of swf or quicktime. If I pick quicktime I have to choose a codex. The only one I could get to work so far is the sorenson not sorens...

Hello, I'm totally new here but it seems to me that if you are using a switch layer for blinking you could set up blinks really easy by watching your complete animation while recording an audio file. You simply make some noise in each spot you want a blink. You could even just say "blink."...
