The Modbook
The all-in-one Wacom and macbook combined. They take a macbook and strip off the screen and keyboard and replace with a wacom tablet screen. No keyboard or mouse needed! Uses text recognition software for text input or screen keyboard that you can pull up. I think it's pretty cool.... All you need i...

GUI
I know there are other things that need tweeking in addition to the GUI. Just my little wish list.
Would love to have another monitor too. I need a bigger desk to run 2 screens. My wife will shoot me twice; once for the new desk and once for the new monitor!!!! Mike.

Sleek/Organized/Professional Looking GUI
I love the software package and the power of ASP but I would greatly appreciate a more organized interface. I really hate the fragmented screens of this package. I get tired of moving the tool, timeline, and color screens around. The next one you want to use always seems to be behind the last one yo...

group layers
HeyVern, One big advantage the book gives about the group layer really has to do with moving an animated sequence of events along with its keys to a different location within the camera view/screen. I tried this by just animating some circles I created on different vector layers within a group layer...

Masking
I haven't messed with masking yet but to add my 2 cents; according to the new manual the most important thing to remember is that all this masking will only work if all the layers are contained within a GROUP layer. If you don't have AS PRO you have to simulate this by putting them in a BONE layer f...

Nice Vern, this is going to be a welcome addition to the softwares educational arsenal. It's a shame that the developers who bought the rights to this package haven't done something like this. You (heyvern) put in all the time and effort, and they collect all the profits! Don't want to get on my hig...

audio editing
If your using a MAC you can do all of that with garage band which is included with every MAC. Windows, not sure. I left left that platform many moons ago and will never return! Also: I use a program for the MAC called Amadeus Pro. Great program for audio editing. It's $40.00 but worth it if you do a...

Manual & Disc
I just popped the disc in to check it out. Most chapters in the book have small basic tutorials covering a specific tool or feature. The disc has the exact Anime Studio projects on the CD in folders named by the corresponding book chapter that you can load into the program and go thru the motions li...

How to get rid of the default character (dude!) on start up!
This may have been addressed by someone many moons ago, but since I'm fairly new I wasn't around for the old moon! I would like to post this tidbit of info. If you are like me, after using this program for awhile I find the character that appears when starting up the program to be rather annoying. H...

reponse to above
Response to above: I know you can record everything prior to the animation, now this is only my opinion but your kind of putting the cart ahead of the horse. Timing a simple animation may work but once you get into more complicated works of animation with multiple characters and things happening wit...
