*nice topic title!*

As a fan trailer it looks pretty good... although I was expecting Motoko's arm to tear when she jumped on the back of the mecha!

Really entertaining and really smooth animation.
I agree that the dialogue is good too, usually it's the sound that can let down an animation.

Really cool, it's got a John Kricfalusi vibe which I like.
The look on the horse's was great.

FYI, here's one of my favourite animated movies from the 80's that was actually created in anaglyph 3D, Starchaser: The Legend of Orin

I really liked that.
Maybe the pauses between each scene were a little long but the facial expressions were really well done.
Great fight scene too!

Animators Survival Kit - Expanded Edition?

Heya, I'm a big fan of Richard William's book The Animators Survival Kit and (Anime Studio aside) it's probably the best investment I ever made in my favourite hobby. But I noticed there is now a newer edition called the Expanded Edition that totally passed me by. http://www.amazon.com/Animators-Sur...

For a long continuous shot like that (and assuming you can't just loop the background over a shorter length of time) I'd personally: 1) Render out the sequence of your 2284 frames as one complete sequence 2) Go to your last frame and select Animation > Copy Current Frame and from the dialogue box th...

Would it really be necessary for the end frame of one clip to be the beginning frame of the next? I use the same method as the one Peteroid suggested, however each video project , as you put it, is a separate camera shot or scene. For example; Shot 1, character walks across the room to a door. Shot ...

Hey, glad you liked it :D
I think I spent as much time on the soundtrack as I did on the backgrounds and animation.

I guess I need to pull my finger out now and start on the next episode...

Tech Support: Episode 3

I haven't animated one of these for a while, but then I found the soundtrack I'd recorded a few months previously and decided to finish the third episode: Tech Support: Episode 3 http://youtu.be/X_Y2bDZgA_Y The previous two are here: Episode 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2e9bBvP971s and here, Epi...

I know that this style of humour won't be to everyone's taste but I really liked it. The jokes keep on coming and, for me, most of them hit.

Also, full marks for not going for an easy title like 'The Ring (piece)'.

I started using a kitchen splatter guard as a pop shield.

I cheaped out and bought a pack of 'em at a pound shop and they work well at diffusing the 'P', 'B' and 'T' sounds... I think they're called plosives.

Prokofiev's Peter & the Wolf

I caught this on DVD recently and really loved it.
It's an updated version of Peter and the Wolf, done in stop motion.
