Thank you! Yes, all hand drawn. The only tweeing I did was on the title at the end (I just wanted to finish it!). I did copy and paste frames and hand tween things (like when he throws the bag), but I found the Flash tween tool (at least in MX) was more work than it was worth to get it to work right...

Happy Halloween!

You beat me to the punch! It's finally finished: http://www.galaxy12.com/latenight/Flash/HalloweenGreeting-Pub.08.swf I've also added some additional 'sketches': http://www.galaxy12.com/latenight/ I'll be going 'off the grid' for a little bit as I'm moving back to the states this week. It may be a w...

Ah great! Thanks. It's almost done. Actually, there's not much left to it (sorry to be anti-climatic). I had a number of other things that were going to happen, but I got super busy. So now I'm just going to wrap it up in the next week or two. It leaves something for next Halloween :)

Maya is , most probably , a better and less expensive software than max. Maya complete is 2000 bucks, Max license is much more expensive. I hate monopolies: high prices , products less good. Still there is Lightwave, xsi, silo etc but until when? Agreed. Monopolies suck the big wang. Lightwave is g...

I think the same thing: some big fish acquired lostmarble and shooted down everything. Today, Discreet acquired Alias. Say "goodbye" to Maya.. I sincerely doubt that they'll get rid of Maya in favor of 3D studio seeing as the FX industry has millions (possibly billions) invested in it and...

That thought had crossed my mind too... Better break out the tin foil beanies guys. I think there might be men in black suit...

Not sure if this has been posted yet. A pretty extensive list of Open Source software. Covers many topics from business to graphics. Doesn't have direct links to homepages, but it'll at least give you names of programs.

I just downloaded blender 3d (free!!!) and have been trying it out to see what I think about 3d. I like the possibilities, but I like the simplicity of Moho. My real goal is visual story telling, and I think Moho is the tool to get me there. Whew. Good luck with Blender. I tried it as an alternativ...

Sorry MW. I've got some tweaks on it, but no ending yet... I've been knee deep in work (6-7 days a week at 10-12 hours a day leaves me a bit burned out) and busy looking for work at the same time. I have a couple animations I haven't added to the site that I did last week. Real brief doodles. I'll b...

I think you posted this question at AWN, too? If not (and for people not on the AWN forum), I'll give my opinion a second time. Converting to 720x480 won't change your safe areas (or any other size issues) unless you're cropping instead of scaling it. It just looks different because you're computer ...

Something to consider with it, too, is that there are a number of really good free Ray Trace tools available on the web. That can get pretty tecky but it is an option for outputting.

Much fewer options than Maya/3D Studio, but really great if you've never used 3D (viewer options for you to get caught up in). The tools are there. I've seen a handful of things that were done well with it (search for Killer Bean 2). It appeals more to the amatuer crowd, but I believe the tools are ...
